With many year’s experience we have considerable expertise and understanding in this area and work in partnership with members to ensure that they are compliant at all times and meet the rules of the regulator. To help our members achieve and retain competent adviser status we run a focused induction training programme, deliver regular on-going training in the form of Personal Development Events throughout the UK, tailored to meet their needs, provide a comprehensive and regularly updated Compliance Manual and operate a telephone helpline service.

We do not believe that compliance monitoring needs an aggressive policing operation. We want our members to succeed and adopt a positive 'coaching' approach to compliance. For example, our monitoring visits and the annual audit is not about searching for reasons why a adviser should fail but about identifying areas of weakness, providing positive advice and agreeing remedial action.

Because our members provide us with new business information over the Internet, we are able to carry out new business and KPI monitoring remotely. This means that our monitoring visits can be less intrusive and less frequent, which leaves members with more time available to devote to generating new business and advising
